Affordable Evaluations
Recently lost your health coverage? We offer a sliding scale.
Losing insurance shouldn't mean going without answers. Fees are set on a sliding scale based on your budget.
SK Wellness Services offers reasonable, flexible rates for individuals and families paying out of pocket — especially those who have recently lost their healthcare coverage. Every evaluation is customized to the referral question, so the fee depends on the type of evaluation and the extent of the testing battery. We'll work with you to find a fee that fits what you can afford.
Who this is for
If any of these sound familiar, reach out.
- You were recently laid off or changed jobs and lost employer coverage
- You aged off a parent's plan or lost coverage through a life change
- Your Marketplace, Medicaid, or CHIP coverage ended or changed
- Your plan doesn't cover psychological testing, or your deductible puts it out of reach

Tell us what you need
Call or send a message and let us know you're interested in the sliding scale. A free 15-minute consultation helps clarify which evaluation fits your question.
- 2
We scope the evaluation
Fees depend on the type of evaluation and the extent of the testing battery, so we first identify what the evaluation actually needs to include.
- 3
We agree on a fee that fits your budget
Your fee is set on a sliding scale based on what you can afford. You'll know the cost before testing begins — no surprises.
The same evaluation, at a fee you can manage. Sliding-scale clients receive the same individualized assessment, standardized measures, and clear written report as every other client.
Frequently Asked
Questions about fees.
How is the sliding-scale fee determined?
Every evaluation is customized, so the fee depends on the type of evaluation and the extent of the testing battery. Within that, the fee is adjusted on a sliding scale based on your budget. We'll discuss it openly before anything is scheduled.
Is a sliding-scale evaluation any less thorough?
No. The evaluation is built around your referral question in the same way, with the same standardized measures and the same clear written report. Only the fee changes.
Which evaluations are available on a sliding scale?
Sliding-scale fees are available for individual self-pay clients across our clinical evaluations, including comprehensive, ADHD, diagnostic clarification, and learning evaluations. Contact the office to discuss your specific situation.
I still have insurance, but my deductible is high. Can I ask about the sliding scale?
Yes. If your coverage doesn't realistically make an evaluation affordable, contact the office and we'll talk through self-pay and sliding-scale options alongside your benefits.
